I put my hands where and my face is how?!
Posing is one of the hardest parts of a photoshoot for anyone who has never done a photoshoot before, or you can be a professional at getting your pictures done and need help. It is perfectly okay to not know how to pose that is what I (the photographer, Anna) is here for. Besides taking your images and help picking out outfits, posing guidance is another benefit from booking a shoot with me. I will help pose you from head to toe and even tell you how to relax your facial features. Getting pictures done can be intimidating and I 100% get it and will do my best to help you.
I will not promise that all poses will be comfortable and the old saying that if the pose is uncomfortable means the images turn out amazing. They are not wrong about that saying! The oddest pose will be one of your favorite images that we do. Some of the poses will have cute or odd little sayings to help you understand where I am getting at. I love to help making my clients laugh. For example, if your arms are up above your head and I want you to look down toward the ground I might get you to laugh by saying sniff your arm pit.
Going back to the uncomfortable pose, I will always ask my clients if they have any knee, back or any other joint issues to make sure they will not be in any pain. The more upfront a client is, the easier it will be for me to guide them into poses. When doing a boudoir photography session, the poses are more difficult to show off the curves and body of the person. For example, with boudoir I highly point out to stretch the night before and day of the session, since we do a lot of pointing toes and arms over head etc. Basically, doing a photoshoot is a workout for the day and it can get tiring really quick if you do not stretch.
Once again, do not be worried about posing or schooling your features because I will help you no matter what. If you have any questions or concerns about posing feel free to reach out and I will answer as soon as possible.
